By renting a vehicle from Roujiya, you agree to the following terms.

1. Rental Period and Returns: You agree to return the vehicle by the designated time.
   • Extensions: If you would like to rent the vehicle for longer than originally requested, please inform us in advance.
   • Late Returns: If you will be returning the vehicle after the designated time, please inform us by phone. If the vehicle is rented longer than paid for without warning, you will be charged for an additional day’s rental.
2. Fuel (Gasoline): Gas costs are not included in the fee. The vehicle is provided with a full tank; therefore, please return it with a full tank.
   • If the vehicle is not returned full, a fee of 300 yen per liter will be charged, calculated at a rate of 15km per liter.
   • The customer is responsible for any fees resulting from using the incorrect fuel.
3. Breakdowns and Maintenance:
   • All vehicles are regularly inspected. However, please be aware that breakdowns or failures can occur.
   • If the vehicle breaks down, the customer is responsible for returning it to Roujiya Bike Rental. The customer will not request any travel, accommodation, or other associated costs from Roujiya.
   • If a customer wants to have the vehicle inspected after renting it, they must arrange for this themselves.
4. Accidents, Damage, and Theft: The customer is responsible for the following:
   • Reporting: In the event of an accident or if the vehicle is damaged, the customer must inform Roujiya Bike Rental prior to the designated return time, regardless of the extent of the damage.
   • Settlement: In the event of an accident, the customer will settle the matter themselves and with the insurance provider, without involving Roujiya Bike Rental in a way that could inconvenience or affect business.
   • Repair Costs: The customer will pay all costs for repairs, punctures, and burst tires. If we are not informed of bodywork damage and it is discovered later, a fee of 100,000 yen will be charged.
   • Loss of Use: If the vehicle is made inactive due to an accident or damage, the customer is responsible for paying rental fees for each day the vehicle is out of action until it is repaired.
   • Theft: The customer is responsible for all charges for replacing the vehicle or any parts if stolen.
5. Parking Fines: If you receive a parking fine, you must inform us and provide the money for the fine when you return the vehicle. If a fine is discovered after the return, we will request the money for the fine in addition to a separate fee of 100,000 yen.
6. Insurance: Please be advised that any incidents that occur after the designated return time (if we are not informed of a late return) will not be covered by the insurance policy. You acknowledge the items not covered by the vehicle’s insurance policy.
7. Payment for Fees: The customer agrees that if they are unable to pay repair fees or a fine in cash at the designated return time, their credit card will be charged for the amount (an 8% handling charge will be applied).
8. Non-Return of Vehicle: In the event that the vehicle is not returned and no contact is received, we will file a damage report and undergo the necessary criminal proceedings. The customer will be charged for locating the vehicle and any associated costs.
9. Disputes: Should any disputes arise between the customer and Roujiya Bike Rental, the necessary procedures will be followed at a summary court to resolve the matter.
