We believe travel is about stepping off the main road to discover something new. Our concept is to offer a sense of calm, community, and harmony—the true essence of life in Kyoto.
This philosophy is woven into the very fabric of our guesthouse, which we designed to reflect the feeling of a traditional Kyoto townhouse (machiya). We’ve included authentic features like KOSHI (lattice work),NIWA (a small garden), and even a SHOKI-san household guardian on the roof. We hope that our guests choose us not just for our rates, but for this unique atmosphere.
Our neighborhood is an extension of this concept. Situated in a quiet, traditional area, our location is ideal for exploring like a local. We are a short walk from Nijo Station, with excellent train connections that let you avoid crowded buses. Nearby, you’ll find: the historic Nijo Castle, a huge market loved by local people, and delicious, authentic neighborhood restaurants!
