Why This Cooking Class is Special

Step into our traditional Kyoto home and discover the art of Japanese cuisine with Kaori, your host and instructor. This is more than just a cooking lesson; it’s a journey into the heart of Japanese culture, hospitality, and traditions.

Hands-On Experience

In a small, friendly group, you’ll get a hands-on experience that you can’t get from a book or TV. Learn the techniques to make delicious Japanese food in a beautiful, modern kitchen inside traditional home—machiya.

More Than a Recipe

We believe that cooking is connected to culture. You will also learn about Japanese table manners, the history of the cuisine, and the seasonal customs that make Japanese food unique.

Careful Guidance from an Experienced Instructor

Your instructor, Kaori, has more than 10 years of experience conducting cooking classes. The class is taught in fluent English and embodies the spirit of omotenashi—the unique Japanese art of hospitality.
